Suresh productions banner is one of the most reputed and successful banners. They are also known for encouraging new talent. However, in the recent past not many new directors did utilize the golden opportunity of working for Suresh Productions banner. And Kousalya Supraja Rama also goes into that category. There is one twist in the film and director Suryateja tested the elasticity limit in the plot as the rest of the film drags on that twist.
The story or the plot also does not offer anything new. Protagonist in the film is insulted and in the end he is worshiped and praised by all. That is basically the plot of the film.
As story goes; Sriram (Srikanth) works for a software company. As the owner of the company goes to USA, responsibility of handling not only the company but also the family falls on Sriram. Supraja (Charmi) is the daughter of the owner. And as old stories go, after a few confrontations, pulling legs and insults, Supraja promptly falls in love with Sriram. On return from USA, boss organizes a grand party and announces that Sriram is his would be son-in-law. Here comes the twist. A doctor in the party claims that Sriram is already married and his wife is ailing in a hopsial. Sriram is insulted and the boss lodges a complaint of robbery also on Sriram. Inspite of all this, Sriram sacrifices all his efforts and sells the software he worked on to pay for the operation of the 'supposedly' wife. That is when the twist is revealed. To know the twist, watch the film on the silver screen.
This is kind of a casual role for Srikanth as he has done several such roles in the past. And there is not much scope in to perform either. Kota, Bharani, Hema, LB Sriram, Saira Bhanu, Apoorva, Krishna Bhagavan, Siva reddy, Brahmanandam, Ali, Sana and others are content in the role. Charmi, as naughty girl, is very very economical with costumes. Gauri Munjal and Sivaji are okay in the guest roles.
Story, screenplay and direction are handled by Suryateja. For some reason, the film feels very old in terms of taking or narration. There is not much excitement in the narration and in fact, it drags from the word go. The same applies to the direction. Dialogs by Satyanand are average. Seems like Marthand Venkatesh has put in lot of effort to trim it but there is lot more that can be trimmed. This film also feels obselete in today's trend where there is novelty in making and scripts that are taking the fore ground. Though the film might not bring in lot of revenues, it will not bring any losses either.
